Hi Momma! I'm glad you're here!
I'm SJ and I'm the one behind the camera preserving your family's memories. My love for motherhood portraiture runs deep. Growing up, I can remember having one family portrait done. One, when I was about 8 years old. That was it, and even as a child it made me sad that we didn't have more photos of our family hanging on our walls. I didn't know back then that I would become a photographer, but I did know that when I eventually had a family of my own, I'd want to fill my walls with our story!
Now, many years later, I'm following my accidental (or maybe not so accidental) calling as a motherhood photographer, fulfilling my dream of capturing beautiful photos of my own family, while making sure other families don't end up with only one family portrait of themselves.
I am drawn to simple, organic portraits that have often been described as "timeless" or "classic". When you look at your photos, I want everything else to melt away, so that all you see and feel is the emotion, the connection, the love between you and your family.

One way I ensure that my clients enjoy the BEST photographic experience possible is through forming a relationship with them. Family portraits are sentimental and a family should connect with their photographer, trust their photographer and be EXCITED about the whole process with them!
When working with me, you can expect a full experience starting with time planning your session, planning your wardrobe (with access to my exclusive Client Closet), capturing a beautiful, love filled session, and ending with beautiful heirloom portraits on your walls and in albums to be cherished for generations to come.
After booking, I will send you a Session Planning Guide, full of information to help you start envisioning your session. We will then plan a call to go over your vision and details of the session. On the day of the session, I will guide you with soft, simple prompts to help you feel relaxed, allowing me to capture the love in your family in an authentic, organic way.
